Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Assumption Mapper, a web application operated by The Motion Bridge ("we", "us", "our"), based in the European Union. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Assumption Mapper is a tool for capturing, ranking, testing, and deciding on business assumptions. The Service is available at assumption-mapper.com and may include web applications, APIs, and related services.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission.
  • Upload malicious code or content.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.

4. Your Content

  • Ownership: You retain all rights to the content you create in the Service (assumptions, evidence, decisions, etc.).
  • License: You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.
  • Responsibility: You are responsible for the content you enter. Do not store sensitive personal data of third parties without appropriate consent.
  • Export: You can export your data at any time through the Service's export feature.

5. Service Plans and Pricing

  • Free plan: Available at no cost with usage limits (assumptions, projects, team members).
  • Paid plans: Pricing and features as displayed on our pricing page. Prices are in EUR and may change with 30 days notice.
  • Billing: Paid plans are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

6. AI Features

The Service includes AI-powered features (such as transcript processing) provided by third-party AI providers. When you use these features:

  • Your input is sent to the AI provider for processing.
  • AI outputs are suggestions — you are responsible for reviewing and accepting them.
  • Do not input confidential or sensitive information into AI features unless you are comfortable with it being processed by third parties.

7. Team and Collaboration Features

  • Project owners can invite team members and control access levels.
  • Project owners are responsible for managing team member access.
  • When you are removed from a project, you lose access to that project's data.

8. Availability and Support

  • We aim to keep the Service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uptime.
  • We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.
  • Support is provided via email at hi@assumption-mapper.com.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Business decisions made based on information in the Service.
  • Data loss due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

  • You can delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days (unless legally required to retain it).

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply in your jurisdiction.
